Closet Remodel
Hi friends!
It’s been over two months since I redid my closet and I want to share with you exactly what I did. I will say that this isn’t one of those extreme before and afters, but what I love about my closet now is how well it works for me and that was my initial goal. Please read until the end to see my Amazon must-haves that are huge closet game changers.
If you live in the Bay Area, you know how hard owning a home can be, and our home was built almost a century ago, so you can imagine how small the closet spaces are (I guess walk-in closets weren’t a thing back then).
Anyway, I realized I had a lot of wasted space that I wasn’t using and so Julio’s uncle was kind enough to help us add shelves. Here are the before images, it’s bit hard to see everything, but my main concerns were the awkward shelves on top, the hanging rods that I had to place one on top of the other, and the empty walls I wasn’t using.
Of course, I wanted a prettier looking closet, but more importantly, I wanted my closet space to look organized and to maximize the space as much as possible. After my husband and his uncle installed the new shelves, I went ahead painted the entire closet white and got to organizing. Here is the after, a much more organized closet with space for all my clothes and shoes and 2 hanging rods for my blouses, skirts, and dresses. Take a look…
As you can see, the added shelf space really made all the difference and now I am able to keep my clothes and shoes organized. That is my message for you today! if you’re like me and don’t have a lot of space, definitely think about adding shelves and using the entire wall by adding another rod. Now, if you’re not looking to add shelves, here are some items that have made a huge difference in my small closet. Check out these Amazon must-haves:
I made sure to find the best deals and also read the reviews, but I love these items because they’ve helped me stay organized while on a budget.
I’d love to know your thoughts and also hear any other items I should know about.
Thank you for stopping by and best wishes on all your projects!
Love,
Flor
