How to Show Up Everyday

Hi friends! Have you ever had a day when you just didn’t want to get up and do anything? Maybe you didn’t get a good night’s sleep or maybe you stayed up late the night before and now you are lying on your bed without a desire to get out, but you know you have to. What do you do?

Most of us end up getting out of bed anyway, but our day ahead just doesn’t look too promising. Why? Because we’ve already made up in our minds that we don’t feel well or just don’t want to deal with anyone.

Well, today I want to tell you how you can show up and give it your all every single day, even on days when you don’t want to. It’s quite simple, when you think about it.

Gratitude is one of the things that can transform your feelings about something, someone, or anything really. It has truly changed my life when I profess gratitude for every single thing I have.

You have to understand, that in this life, someone will always be better off than you (in everything: better things, better looking, better opportunities, etc.) on the other hand, you will always be better off than someone else. It’s called life. Period. Now, living in constant comparison can leave us drained and tired, yet we always do it because we’re human. I don’t believe it when someone says they don’t compare themselves to others. It’s actually not that they don’t, it’s that they’ve understood this concept, they’ve accepted it, and now they are appreciating what they have and working with that.

What?! Yes! You ever heard the saying, “work with what you got?” Well, that’s exactly what they’re doing.

And that’s what I challenge YOU to do today! Look at what you have, even if it’s not the best, and be grateful for it. Why? Because someone somewhere wishes, prays, and dreams to have what you have.

Waking up and opening your eyes, that in itself, is such a blessing and something to be so grateful for. Now every time I wake up and I open my eyes and I realize I’ve made it to another day, I always thank God for that because not everyone had that privilege.

Having a roof over my head, clothes, food, shoes to wear, those are all things that someone somewhere prays they could have. So, you’ve heard this many times, count your blessings, but have you done it? Down to the smallest thing that you have? Maybe not. Well today I challenge you to start doing it.

Wake up, look around, and count your blessings. Every single human has a blessing they can count. And you might say, “but I actually woke up sick today!” But you woke up and that’s a big enough reason to be thankful.

Work with what you have! What motivates you? Your dreams? Goals? Your kids? Look at the day ahead and say, “I’m grateful for everything I have and I can make a difference today. I can make someone’s day. That someone should be you! You may not have the picture perfect home or the most beautiful wardrobe, but remember that you have what someone only wishes they had. Be grateful for it. Aim for more, yes, but also learn to enjoy the moment, the things, the people, you have right now.

Ok, that’s all I have today and I hope you’ll put this into practice and start showing up every. Single. Day.

Xoxo,

Flor
