Week 1: Trust Him in the Storm

How many times have we heard and read these verses and yet we still have a hard time trusting God during turbulent times where all we feel is uncertainty and fear.

I think it’s normal to feel fear, especially after the year we’ve had, but one thing that we shouldn’t do is stay in fear. It’s ok to have a moment of panic, but we can’t let those moments control our future. If you’ve read the New Testament, you’ve read the story of Jesus when he calmed the storm during a boat trip with his disciples. think it’s interesting how the disciples took action in that moment, they went and woke up Jesus and that’s what when He woke up and calmed the storm.

Something I like to remind myself whenever I find myself in a storm: Call on Jesus! He’s there ready to calm your storm, but you have to call on Him.

Instead of worrying and letting fear defeat you, take a moment to call on Jesus and tell Him what’s going on. He is more than ready to calm your storm.

Here’s the passage in the Bible where it says this:

Jesus Calms the Storm

23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him.

24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.

25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

That’s my thought for this week!

God bless each one of greatly!

With love,
